However, in the unlikely event that you are not satisfied with your purchase, this Refunds, Returns & Exchange Policy explains your rights and obligations regarding returns, replacements, and refunds. This policy is governed by the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, issued by the Government of India.
We offer a 3-day return window from the date of delivery. You must raise a return request within 3 days of receiving your order by contacting us at [email protected].
To be eligible for a return:
– The product must be in its original condition — unused, unworn, unwashed, unaltered, with all original tags, packaging, and invoice.
– The product must not be damaged, stained, or show signs of wear.
– You must retain and share the receipt or proof of purchase.
Products returned without prior approval or outside the return window may not be accepted.
To initiate a return:
1. Email us at [email protected] with your order number, reason for return, and supporting images (if applicable).
2. If your return request meets our eligibility criteria, our team will approve it and share a return authorization confirmation and a return shipping label (if applicable).
3. Once approved, you must dispatch the item to the designated return address within 3 business days of receiving the return authorization.

Once we receive your return, our Quality Check (QC) team will inspect the product. If the product passes inspection, we will process the refund or exchange as requested. If the returned item fails inspection (used, damaged, or not in original condition), it will be returned to you at your expense.
If your return is approved, refunds will be processed to your original method of payment within 7–10 business days from the date of approval. The time taken for the refund to reflect in your account may vary depending on your bank or payment provider. If more than 15 business days have passed since approval and you have not received your refund, please contact us at [email protected].
Certain items cannot be returned or refunded under any circumstance, except in the case of manufacturing defects or wrong deliveries. These include:
– Custom-made, personalized, or altered garments.
– Lifestyle products such as jewellery, accessories, and beauty or personal care items.
– Gift cards, vouchers, or items purchased on sale or during promotional events.
This is in accordance with Rule 6(4) of the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.
Please inspect your order immediately upon delivery. If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect item, notify us within 48 hours of delivery at [email protected] with clear photographs and your order details. Once verified, we will replace the product at no extra cost or issue a full refund if a replacement is unavailable.
We currently do not offer automatic exchanges. If you wish to exchange a product, please follow the return process above and place a new order for the desired item once your return is approved.
If the return is due to a manufacturing defect or incorrect shipment, Golden Muslin will bear the return shipping costs. If the return is initiated for personal reasons (e.g., size, color, change of mind), the customer is responsible for shipping costs. Please ensure that returned items are securely packaged to avoid damage during transit.
If your order is being shipped to the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days of delivery for any reason, without justification. The returned product must meet the same eligibility conditions as above. Refunds will be issued within 10 business days after receipt and inspection.
Golden Muslin adheres to the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020. Customers retain the right to seek redressal through the Consumer Helpline (1915) or online via https://consumerhelpline.gov.in if grievances remain unresolved.
